(originally uploaded by Amy, 6/18/09)This site is dedicated to spreading the love in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Too often our world and the media focus on the negative things happening. Because it gets higher ratings and draws people in, it is apparently justified. Coming to the realization that this type of attention will never go away completely, I decided to combat it on a small scale by doing my part to make people happier.
The posts on this site will consist of photos taken around Portland, Oregon paired with stories or anecdotes for the sole purpose of spreading happiness, love, and maybe giving someone a little hope. If you have a photo you'd like to share, please email it to me at keepportlandhappy@gmail.com along with any comments you'd like with it.
The important thing to get out of this is that even though things may seem dark, bleak, and daunting, there is always a little love in the world.
