(originally uploaded by Amy, 6/21/09)A little old (from March), but I was browsing my computer and thought it would be perfect to share. This is a picture of Widmer's Drifter Pale Ale, on the Portland Spirit, during the Widmer Drifter Cruise, with the Marquam bridge, Portland waterfront and downtown in the background. Though a little chilly on the Willamette, this night was amazing! Widmer really went all out and gave everyone an amazing night and chance to sample 4 of their beers (in addition to the Drifter, there was Hefeweizen, Drop Top, and Broken Halo). It's nice to see a local brewery give back to their community and do events such as this. This event was free for all in attendance -- let's see if they bring it back next year!
